Hello

Hi, I’m Katie. I’m a graphic designer and illustrator, and this site is a sort of online sketchbook to document what I’m working on at the moment, as well as what’s inspiring me. I’m originally from deepest, darkest South London, but I currently live and work in the Irish countryside with Mr Baggio and our menagerie (two staffordshire bull terriers, a cat two cats, and six three pigeons).

I Use

Photoshop, Flash, Illustrator, 3DSMax, After Effects, Premiere, TopStyle Pro for easier hand-coding, Col-Erase blue pencils, an ancient Canon AE-1 (older than me and still takes beautiful shots) and a not-so-ancient Canon E0S 300-D.

I Like

In no order of preference: hand-made things, illustration, traditional printmaking methods, riding a 20″ bike on the street (translation: BMX), the 19th century, literature, cooking, typography, shades of grey, autumn, art galleries, motion graphics, snowblading, growing things, photography, and more besides.

Piemash?

I was weaned on pie and mash: the working-class London ‘delicacy’ consisting of a meat pie, a smear of mashed potato and a puddle of suspiciously green sauce. It doesn’t sound very nice, but, I assure you, it’s delicious. If you’re hungry in South London, I recommend Arments off the Walworth Road, or one of the Manze’s branches in Peckham or the Tower Bridge Road.
